A week-long cycling journey through the beautiful Riviera dei Fiori, exploring seaside landscapes, medieval villages, vineyards, and olive groves while discovering some of the most fascinating destinations in Western Liguria and the nearby French Riviera.Designed for travelers who want to experience the region in an authentic way, this tour combines nature, culture, gastronomy, and local traditions into an unforgettable adventure.
Starting from Bordighera, each day reveals a different side of the region: from the scenic Riviera dei Fiori Cycle Path to the vineyards of the famous Rossese wine area, from the charming villages of Dolceacqua, Seborga, and Vallebona to the elegant atmosphere of Menton, Nice, and Monaco.
Suitable for both e-bikes and traditional bicycles, the tour requires no special technical skills and combines scenic cycling routes with guided visits and tastings of local specialties, offering the perfect balance between outdoor activity, cultural discovery, and culinary pleasure.
DAY 1 – WELCOME TO LIGURIA (Bordighera)
Independent arrival in the early afternoon and hotel check-in. A short warm-up ride along the seafront of Bordighera to discover the town and enjoy the Mediterranean atmosphere. Welcome aperitif and presentation of the guide and tour program.
DAY 2 – SANREMO & THE FLOWER RIVIERA CYCLE PATH (Sanremo, Bussana Vecchia, Arma di Taggia, Ospedaletti) Approx. 32 km / 500 m elevation gain
A varied route combining the elegant town of Sanremo, the charming artists’ village of Bussana Vecchia, and the spectacular seaside cycle path. Ride along the coast while enjoying stunning Mediterranean views and stop for an aperitif directly on the cycle path.
DAY 3 – DOLCEACQUA & ROSSESE WINE (Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, Camporosso) Approx. 37 km / 500 m elevation gain
A panoramic itinerary combining cycle paths and scenic Ligurian roads. The route offers breathtaking views stretching to the Alps, passing through vineyards and the enchanting medieval village of Dolceacqua. Wine tasting of the famous Rossese di Dolceacqua accompanied by local specialties.
DAY 4 – AUTHENTIC HINTERLAND & THE SEA (Sasso, Seborga, Vallebona) Approx. 37 km / 550 m elevation gain
Leave the cycle paths behind and discover the famous Principality of Seborga and the charming village of Vallebona. Nestled in a sun-drenched valley, these picturesque villages will surprise you with their tranquility and architectural beauty. Traditional lunch at a local trattoria. Free afternoon by the beach for those who wish to relax.
DAY 5 – BEYOND THE BORDER (Ventimiglia, Hanbury Gardens, Menton) Approx. 35 km / 400 m elevation gain
Starting from the seafront, the route leads to the ancient Roman settlement of Albintimilium. Guided visit to the beautiful Hanbury Gardens before continuing across the French border to the elegant coastal town of Menton.
DAY 6 – ACROSS THE PROVINCE FROM EAST TO WEST (Cervo, Imperia & the Seaside Villages) Approx. 60 km / 100 m elevation gain
Starting from San Bartolomeo al Mare, the day begins with a visit to the beautiful medieval village of Cervo. The route then follows the coastal cycle path to Imperia, the homeland of Ligurian olive oil. Olive oil tasting and visit to the Olive Museum. Continuing westward along the cycle path, riders return to Bordighera while enjoying the sunset over the sea.
DAY 7 – THE FRENCH RIVIERA (Nice, Monte Carlo) Approx. 40 km / 400 m elevation gain
After a morning transfer by bus to eastern Nice, the ride begins along the famous Promenade des Anglais towards Monte Carlo. One of the most scenic coastal roads on the Mediterranean leads to the extraordinary Principality of Monaco. Lunch box included.
DAY 8 – GOODBYE (Bordighera)
Breakfast and departure.
