Welcome to Bordighera, the pearl of the Riviera dei Fiori, where sea, nature, and history meet in perfect harmony. Our visit begins with a walk along the splendid seaside promenade, enjoyable all year round thanks to the area’s mild microclimate. From here we can already admire the Church of Sant’Ampelio on the cliff and the wide view over the French Riviera.
We then move toward Bordighera Alta, passing through a lush pine grove. The historic center is a maze of narrow alleys, ancient walls, and small squares that tell the story of centuries of life. The authentic atmosphere is dotted with lively cafés and bars where visitors can enjoy a glass of wine.
Following the stories connected to the painter Claude Monet and the architect Charles Garnier, the tour continues along Via Romana, lined with splendid historic villas, witnesses to the refined and international past of the Belle Époque. For culture lovers, it is also possible to visit the Museo Bicknell, a small gem connected to local history and to the first English travellers.
The day can end by the sea, with lunch or dinner in a typical small restaurant where visitors can enjoy fresh fish and traditional Ligurian flavors. A relaxing experience, elegant yet simple, designed to experience Bordighera slowly and with pleasure.
A perfect day among beauty, Mediterranean scents, and history.
